Charles, Matt and Gregg are joined again by Jonathan Russell, Chaplain at the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles, to talk about finding God on the margins of society, the role of Christians in ending isolation, and creating kinship with the voiceless. Jonathan Russell is the former lead guitarist and songwriter for the huge and amazing band Cold War Kids, and is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminiary and a current Ph.D. student and professor. Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles is the largest homeless mission in North America, and a leader in homeless intervention throughout the world.   Reading the Bible with the Damned, by Bob Ekblad is a book mentioned on this podcast that casts a vision for how reading the Bible can connect the unchurched and the new church, and transform lives.
